Maquete "Aquecimento Global"! "Global Warming" Model!

After we listened to the "365 penguin's" story, we discovered that penguins, on South pole, are in risk to have no place to live!

Our planet is getting warmer - Global Warming - with the polution of cars and fabrics...

(S., 5 anos)
"Penguin's and Polar bear's house is getting shorter!"
(G.G., 5 anos)
"Their house is getting the size of an ant!"
"O gelo está a derreter!" (R.F., 5 anos)
"Ice is melting!"
We did a model wih penguins and polar bears and then we talked about what could happen in the future!

We painted the model and organized the ice sections:

Fizemos pinguins:
We did penguins:

And, at last, we've put everything on our model and did the sentences! We let you with the final product:

O polo sul é a casa dos pinguins e
o polo norte é a casa dos ursos polares.
Aqui existe muito gelo.
Penguin's home is South Pole,
Polar bear's house is Noth Pole.
There is a lot of ice.

The planet is getting warmer and heat makes the ice melt.
Penguin's and polar bear's house is getting shorter.

Global Warming is getting worse and the size of the houses, which is the ice, it's getting into the size of an ant. The gases sent from the transports and fabrics is bad for the fish and trees, but it's also getting our planet warmer and it does a lot of heat. If we don't care about our world, penguins and polar bears will have no home and we withouth ice. Planet is going to dry.

We enjoyed very much to do the penguins... We like penguins!
"If we don't care about our world, penguins and polar bears will have no home and we withouth ice."
So, let's care!

Reutilizar materiais velhos! Reusing old materials!

"From the paper we made a vest (for the separating garbage game)
From the vest we made cops
From cops we made dyes! (for our books!)"

Estes foram os coletes que nós construímos:
These were the vests we made:

Tchanan! Surpresa!
Tínhamos dois desenhos iguais!

And, from the vest, we made cops to form the draw we wanted for our book.
Then we used a brush with water above these untill these were glued to the paper.
After, we've put a white paper above it, pressed and...
Tchanan! Suprise!
We had two equal drawings!

Deixamo-vos com algumas imagens das nossas estampagens:
We let you with some images of our stamping:

Cartaz da Água! Water's Poster!

(J., Go., B.T.)

"Todas as gotinhas de água são preciosas". (S., Go.)

(i) Ciclo da Água
Water's Cicle

(ii) Para que usamos a água:
For what we use water:

(iii) Gotas de água - Formas de poupar
Water drops - Ways of saving

Colocámos, também, o nosso autorretrato!
We also did our portrait!

And, at last, our Water's Poster is finished and ready to be exposed in the kindergarden!

English:
Water is very important to us!
We use water for our daily life, for example, to take a shower, to wash dishes or when we wash our hands or our teeth, fruits or vegetables... Many things!

After we saw the video "Vasco - Cada Gota Conta (Each water drop counts)" we saw that we must save our water!

"We must save water when we wash our hands." (Mg.)

Letter from Slovenia! Carta da Eslovénia!

Português:
Olá, amigos de Portugal!
 23.5.2014
As árvores fazem o nosso ar ficar limpo.”
            -“Separando o lixo”;
            -“Não atirando o lixo para a natureza”;
            -“Desenhando no outro lado da folha”;
            -“Utilizando materiais de desperdício para criar coisas novas”;

Hello our friends from Portugal!
23.5.2014

Thank you very much for your thoughts about polluting. We agree with you and think this is a topic that needs our attention. We were also discussing about that topic. We have read the story called “Green Island and Grey Island”. The green island was all green with a lot of trees, meadows, without any traffic … The grey island it was a city with a lot of factories, traffic, lights, smoke …
We would like to tell you what we have been thinking after the story.
-          “I would rather live on the green island where is no smoke and no black gas.”
-          “On the green island we can breathe fresh air.”
-          “On the grey island there is no threes, people cut them down to build the fabrics, roads and other things. Trees make our air cleaner.”
-          “Air pollution is harmful to our health.”
-          “Because of the warming the glaciers are melting and the animals are drowning in the sea.”
-          “If the people cut down all the threes, some of the animals will have nowhere to live.”
-          “We can help to save our planet by separating the garbage and not throw them in the nature.”
-          “When we are brushing the teeth or washing our hands, we have to close the tap.”
-          “If we are not watching a TV nor needing a light to be turned on, we switch them off.”

You know what we have decided after this conversation? To clean our urban playground since there are always some trashes outside the bin. We love to play in a clean playground.
The children can also help to our planet:
-          To learn how to separate the garbage.
-          Drive by bicycle, going by foot or use the urban bus.
-          We should not throw the garbage in the nature.
-          To draw on the other side of already used (printed) paper.
-          Use the wasted material to create new things.
-          With a help of an adult we can plant a tree.
-          Take care of the animals living in the nature (giving food to the birds during the winter).
-          Be careful not to spend unnecessary electricity or water …
Thanks again for your letter. If we all think of ways to save our planet, the planet will remain in safe hands.
Best regards,
The Smurfs (4-6 years).

Pozdravljeni prijatelji iz Portugal!

23.5.2014

Prebrali smo zgodbo Zeleni otok in Sivi otok.

Umetna gnojila škodujejo nam ljudem in živalim.«

Lep pozdrav!

Letter from Portugal (but from a far away city)!

- Fazemos na nossa escolinha a separação do lixo e colocamos no ecoponto;
- Pedimos  ao presidente da Junta e ele colocou mais ecopontos na nossa freguesia;

Hello little friends!
We are from the Kindergarten ( ... ) and we liked your letter very much.
Our teacher said you are from a school of ( ... ) this is very far , only Fr. S. e o A. already visited your city .
We live in an area where there are many trees , plants and almost all of us have at home a vegetable garden . Like you we want to live in a green and cleaned planet and we have also done many activities to care for our environment, we are working on a project called Ecogilde .
- We, in our little school. do the garbage separation and recycling center in place ;
- We asked the President of the Board and he put most points in our parish ;
- We took leaflets to our parents to do recycling at home.
- We made a garden and planted trees with the help of grandparents Day Centre ( ... ) .
Along with our educator we researched about global warming . We went to the internet and heard the story of Alberto na Antártida.
We realized that as the men continues to make a lot of pollution with gases eg of cars, motorbikes , factories, forest fires , our planet is increasingly hot , so hot that it starts very bad things to happen we and our animal buddies .
Our educator also said that if we continue to take good care of our environment it will not happen, so we will protect our planet .
As we live in an area where there are many trees and plants that grow in the hills there are many fires , often because people do not care and other times because they do not care about our planet , so we thought to do some drawings and put the windows of cafes and factories to ask people not to burn the trees and explain how they are important .
We hope that our letter has helped you a big kiss from the kids of( ... ) .

Recycling Paper!

Poderemos reciclar o nosso papel!

Jornais
Água
Moldura com rede
2 panos absorventes
1 saco do lixo

Deixamos as seguintes imagens com todo o processo!

English: It's important to recycle!
B.V.: Paper come from trees and if we use more paper, more trees are going to be destroyed!

What can we do, then? To surpass that phenomenon?
We can recycle our paper!

And then, on 15th may, we did our own recycled paper (4 of them) from jornal that were on the room. First, on 14th may, we teared the paper in lines and then in little pieces. After that, we've put it all in a basin and added water to it, so all the paper could receive the water properly.

The materials we used were:
1 large basin (for the frame with net)
1 medium basin (with water and pieces of jornal)
1 Triturator
1 frame with net
Jornals
Water
2 absorbent clothes
1 trash bag

Separate Trash: Constructing our Game!

On 12th and 13th may, we heard a story called "Xico, the Champion of Recycling" and then  we decided to do our own game to separate the trash! For that, we reused packs of juice to do the recycling bins we know: red for batteries, green for glass, yellow for plastic and blue for paper and cardboards.
